God is not Handicapped by Quarantines...

How is it possible that in the midst of the world coming to an extended closure, we are on the receiving end of so many answered prayers?  This year, in earnest, we petitioned God for laborers for Utah Chi Alpha.  God answered with His customary abundance.  This summer we will be adding 4 new staff members.  We also will be adding two more staff members in the coming year.

We are ecstatic and super busy getting everyone moved, trained, and fully funded this summer.  So if you have been enduring sleepless nights wondering what we are doing with our lives, you should know that we do not lack in work to do.

The super weird ending of the school year is over, but we are in awe of what God accomplished through a thousand zoom calls (maybe not a thousand, but who’s counting) and Facebook live.  We had friends join us virtually that were never able to attend our core groups and large group meetings in person.

To say that everything is roses and butterflies, would be severely inaccurate.  We, along with you, have been plunged into sadness, exhaustion, and feelings of inadequacy.  Navigating planning for fall retreat and fall start up has upended a plethora of ugly emotions.  I know you get it, and that is why I’m saying it.  Sometimes camaraderie is felt by our sameness.

I am heartened by the fact that our emotions have not dictated our future, nor God's ability to reconcile students to Christ.  He is still on the throne.  He is not handicapped by quarantines.  He is still reconciling students to Christ.
